Just a note to let you know I am showing at Wise Design in
Everett this month. The show is a collection of lovely small pieces of art.
Each small wonder is perfect for gifts to oneself, that special friend or family
member. I have included in the show a series of watercolor landscapes, colorful
paintings of old fashioned marbles, linocuts in black and white, as well as hand
colored (including a few of my winter scenes), and my miniature hand sculpted
guardian masks. There are a limited number of items in each category. This is definitely a case of big treasures
in very small packages, if I do say so myself, and I do.
I’ve also included some of my little peckers, all decked out
in felt scarves for the holiday.
Wise Design is located at 2908 Wetmore Ave., just kitty
corner from the previous location of: Janet Wold Art & the Corner Studio &
Gallery. You can peek at some of the items on line at www.wisedesignz.com. Art
Walk is next Saturday, December 17 th, with shopping until 7pm. Wise
is open Tuesday – Saturday, starting at 10:AM. 425-259-2361

10/8/11I am in the process of unpacking, and finding new spots for all my cherished art, oddities, and family pieces. I am starting with the house, then the studio. After closing the Corner Gallery, I have a few more items then I made room for. I still have one more pick from the Everett location, before I get myself snuggled in for the winter. So far so good. I am really loving my new neighborhood.

4/28/11 | My painting series "Night in the Garden" will be feature at ArtFX Gallery in Fremont. The show opens on Fremont's art walk, Friday May 6th from 6 - 9PM, and continues on into the summer. ArtFX Gallery is located 2 blocks west, off the main avenue at 420 North 35th St. They are open Thursday - Sunday 12 -5PM. The gallery and art boutique is full of unique and lovely items, including glass assemblage, jewelry, and handcrafted soaps made by the owners of ARTFX. www.artfx.net

2/28/11 | | Corner Studio and Gallery and Janet Wold Art; present their first group show of the
season.
The new March Show is appropriately titled “Spring” with the
show emphasis on the return of our favorite birds. The show will feature
songbirds, lovebirds, small pond & field birds, and backyard squawkers.
With more then 25 regional artists participating, the mediums and styles run
the gauntlet. There are paintings in
oils, acrylics and watercolors, as well as Mono prints, hand colored Etchings,
and Encaustics. For those that love 3 dimensional works there are sculptures of
birds in enamel, wire & glass nests, ceramic mixed media forms, and various
birdhouses. We have jewelry artist in the show who have created special pieces
for the spring theme, welded metal nest and winged pendants /pins, miniature
wire nest filled with pearls and beads in necklaces and rings, and creation in
natural stones, mineral and gems in bird designs and spring colors. There will
also be beautiful cards, yard art, miniature birds and Janet’s little peckers.
The show opens March 9th, and will run through
April 6th.

Artists’ reception on Art Walk, Saturday, March 19th,
2011. 4 – 7pm
Spring themed show with emphasis on small birds. The subject
of the artwork should be in a small format, but can be matted and framed
larger.
2 & 3D, artwork of songbirds, lovebirds, and backyard
squawkers. Small field, pond, and silly imaginary birds OK too.
For this show no large predator birds, no duck, swans, or
gulls, ect...
Original art, created by the artist, and not previously
shown in Everett.
Most mediums welcome, with the exception of digital
paintings & digital collage.

Format, with up to 5 pieces per artist, 2 or 3 D.
- $10
show fee per artist. Payable by check or cash at drop off.

Happy Holidays Everybody
I hope your year was a good one, with more ups then downs. My year was mostly favorable, and I did learn a few things.
We
only have one week left until the first of winter, and the beginning of
longer days. I don't mind winter, but I do hate that it gets dark so
early. I think 7PM year around would be nice.
I will be staying on at
the downtown Everett studio and gallery, though my hours will change. I
plan to continue working in the studio, but my OPEN TO THE PUBLIC hours
will be greatly reduces. I hope to find the right mix of work time,
retail time, and fun time.

11/16/10This Wednesday myself and my partner at the Corner Studio and Gallery will be
receiving the City of Everett's Mayor's Art Award. This award is for
distinguished artistic excellence and contributing to the cultural vitality of
the city. We are thrilled to be honored, and we hope you will join us in the
celebration. You are all invited to a meet and greet at the Monte Cristo in
Everett, starting at 5PM, with the awards at 6PM.
The Corner Studio and Gallery will be open this Saturday from noon - 7PM,
for a pre-holiday sale and the Everett Art Walk. Liz Geiger Lund has
created a series of tiny treasures. These miniature paintings on canvas make
lovely collectible ornaments to give and share. She will also be showcasing her
large colorful watercolors. I will have my limited edition
miniature linocuts in several winter scenes framed and ready to gift wrap for
you. In preparation for the upcoming holiday season we will be bringing out
an extra large selection of our work along with the variety of crafts, and
jewelry by guest artists. This is a great opportunity to finally obtain
the beautiful piece of art, you've been coveting over the last year.
We have a layaway plan and you could take your original artwork home before you
can click your heels together three times.
We look forward to seeing you either during art walk or during our normal
business hours Tuesday Thursday 11- 4, & Friday 11-6. We are
also open by appointment..

9/13/10 | Dog Days of Summer is my one year anniversary show at the Corner Studio and Gallery. This show is a benefit to raise money for two wonderful animal charity group. I have hung the art wall to wall, and floor to ceiling with dogs, cats, pigs, horses, and a few other creatures too! My whole collection of animal art is being offered at below market value in order to raise money for these shelters. As an added incentive to buyers 50% of the sale price from each piece will go to the shelters as well.
